“Slain B.C. Woman’s Mother Demands Justice, Issues Heart-wrenching Plea for Clues”

Nearly two decades after the tragic death of a 24-year-old real estate agent during a home showing in Saanich, a poignant plea for assistance has been made by her mother, marking the 18th year since the unsolved murder. Lindsay Buziak, who would have turned 42 on Nov. 2, continues to be remembered as her mother, Evelyn Reitmayer, appeals for justice in a moving YouTube video.

Expressing her frustration and desperation for closure, Reitmayer revealed that the police investigation had been concluded, leaving her devastated. She emphasized the importance of finding answers and urged those with information to come forward, shedding light on the impact of the unresolved case on Buziak’s family and loved ones.

Despite continuous efforts by investigators, including the formation of a task force in 2021 with assistance from the RCMP and FBI to leverage advanced technology for potential breakthroughs, no arrests have been made in connection with Buziak’s fatal stabbing on Feb. 2, 2008.

Reitmayer’s heartfelt plea extends to anyone withholding crucial information about the case, emphasizing the enduring pain and the need for closure. With hope for justice and resolution, she implores individuals to contact the authorities and bring peace to a grieving mother.
