“Three Arrested for Brutal Homicide of Homeless Individual in Montreal’s Saint-Henri Neighborhood”

Three individuals faced court charges on Monday following the tragic death of a 42-year-old homeless man who was fatally stabbed at a makeshift camp in the Saint-Henri neighborhood of Montreal.

Manuel De Jesus Garcia Zamora lost his life in the incident, which led to the prompt arrest of the suspects by law enforcement. Leam Yorth, aged 47, was apprehended near the site at 6:30 a.m., while Vincent Gagné-Giard, 29, and Nigel Moses, 40, with prior criminal backgrounds, were taken into custody shortly thereafter.

According to reports, a 911 call alerted authorities at 3:20 a.m. on Sunday about a scuffle between two individuals in the vicinity of Charlebois and Saint-Philippe streets, near the Place-Saint-Henri metro station in the Le Sud-Ouest borough.

Upon police arrival at the scene, the victim was discovered in a wooded area between the metro station and the railway tracks, sustaining severe upper body injuries from a sharp object. Despite being conscious initially, his condition worsened rapidly, leading to his unconscious state during transportation to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

This incident marks the 29th homicide in Montreal since the beginning of the year.
