Blue Jays’ Stunning World Series Defeat Shocks Overwhelming Majority of Proline Bettors!

The Toronto Blue Jays faced a devastating defeat in the World Series that caught many Proline bettors off guard.

The thrilling Game 7 saw the Los Angeles Dodgers clinch a 5-4 victory over Toronto in 11 intense innings at Rogers Centre. This win secured the Dodgers’ second consecutive title in a nail-biting seven-game series, rallying back from a 3-2 deficit to defend their World Series championship.

Surprisingly, only 16% of Proline bettors sided with Los Angeles in the final game. The majority, with 68%, supported Toronto’s runline of +1.5, and 76% predicted the game total to go over 7.5 runs.

A notable highlight for bettors was a unique novelty bet where a home run had to exceed 416 feet as a tribute to Toronto’s area code. The memorable moment came with a 442-foot blast by Toronto’s Bo Bichette. While the Dodgers hit three home runs, none reached the 416-foot mark.

In terms of predictions, only a small fraction, 8%, accurately bet on Los Angeles winning in seven games for the series outcome. Additionally, a mere 16% correctly chose Los Angeles pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto as the World Series MVP, despite 27% of bets favoring Toronto’s Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The dramatic Game 7 marked a significant milestone, becoming the highest-selling baseball event following the Proline+ launch and the second-highest-selling non-NFL contest.
