Lawyers representing a suspect involved in the Louvre jewels robbery anticipate a delay in his trial due to complexities surrounding his transfer to the courthouse. The 39-year-old individual, linked to the theft of $102 million worth of Crown Jewels from the Louvre, was originally slated to face charges for damaging public property. However, his legal team, Florian Godest Le Gall and Maxime Cavaillé, revealed that logistical challenges would prevent his appearance at the Bobigny courthouse near Paris. The suspect, identified as Abdoulaye N, was apprehended shortly after the heist, alongside three other suspects believed to be accomplices.
Reports suggest that Abdoulaye N, also known as “Doudou Cross Bitume” on social media, has a history of sharing motocross videos online. His alleged involvement in the Louvre theft, where he and another individual used power tools to break into display cases, has raised significant interest in the case. Despite providing limited statements to investigators, Abdoulaye N has partially admitted to his role in the heist. Notably, he had a prior conviction in Paris related to theft, while another suspect, aged 37, was recently detained in connection with the Louvre robbery.
