REM service resumes after brief disruption on Brossard line

The service on the Brossard-Gare Centrale REM line was briefly disrupted on Sunday morning due to a technical issue.

REM said that the train was rerouted and service on the South Shore branch resumed around 7:30 a.m.

The service between Deux-Montagnes and McGill wasn’t affected, and the open-house weekend with free rides will continue Sunday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

In an email statement to CityNews, REM described it as a train problem between Du Quartier and Brossard stations.

The REM said that it was a single-car incident, and that the car in question is being taken to their Brossard facility for analysis.

The Deux-Montagnes branch opens to paying riders Monday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 a.m.
