Man injured after reported altercation in Côte-des-Neiges–NDG: SPVM

A man suffered serious injuries following an alleged altercation in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough on Tuesday night.

Authorities were in the area of Barclay and Victoria Avenues, near the Plamondon metro station, when a young man approached them around 6:30 p.m.

He is said to have had upper body injuries and was transported to hospital, where his condition is considered critical, according to Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the Montreal Police (SPVM).

Initial information obtained by authorities from witnesses, was that an altercation broke out between the victim and at least one suspect on Barclay, near Lemieux Street.

The suspect fled before police arrived.

No arrests have been made so far.

A perimeter was established near the intersection, as an investigation is underway.
