Do not be fooled by the sunny and dry weather around Metro Vancouver on Wednesday.
1130 NewsRadio Meteorologist Carl Lam recommends enjoying the break from the rain while you still can, as rain has been forecasted for the weekend.
“Enjoy this dry day while you can with this mix of sun and cloud out there. It’s really quite comfortable as we are around 10°C and it is not super windy for today,” Lam said.
Lam adds that rain is expected to roll in on Friday and stick around for a few days.
“Things will start to get a bit windier as we go into tomorrow and through the rest of the week.”
Lam says he expects the rain to stick around in the region until Sunday or Monday.
“The models are not coming into perfect alignment at this point in terms of when we are expecting the steadiest rain. Some models are suggesting Saturday, some are suggesting Sunday, but overall, just know it’s going to be wet. You’ll need the rain gear, but we are keeping an eye on when the heaviest of the rain will be here in Metro Vancouver,” he explained.
