Montreal Police in Urgent Hunt for Trio Accused in Hate Crime Spree

Montreal authorities are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying three individuals linked to a recent incident involving hate crimes and physical assault.

The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) disclosed that the three male suspects, believed to be in their early 20s, targeted two Black individuals with racist remarks leading to a physical altercation.

The victims were reportedly subject to a violent attack, including being thrown to the ground, punched, and kicked by the suspects. Additionally, one of the assailants allegedly made threats of violence by reaching for a weapon in his bag.

The disturbing episode took place on the evening of October 12 in front of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, located on Sherbrooke Street West near Crescent Street in the heart of downtown Montreal.

During the confrontation, the suspects allegedly made derogatory remarks about the victims’ Arab heritage. Descriptions provided indicate that the suspects were dressed in white T-shirts and black pants.

One of the suspects was described as being around 5’7″ tall, weighing 176 lb, with black hair, and wearing a gray shirt over a white T-shirt.

Montreal Police encourage anyone with information regarding the incident to contact 911 or report anonymously to Info-Crime Montreal.
