Third Delay in Court for Laval Father Accused of Tragic Double Homicide of His Own Children

A Laval father accused of a tragic crime against his family is set for a new trial date in 2025, after facing multiple postponements. Kamaljit Arora is facing serious charges in the deaths of his two young children and the attempted murder of another family member. The trial, initially scheduled to start soon, was delayed at Arora’s request as he sought new legal representation due to a lack of trust in his previous lawyers.

Appearing in court with his new legal team, Arora has been given a new trial date of Feb. 2, along with a firm warning from the judge that further delays will not be tolerated. Despite his right to make decisions in his case, the judge emphasized the importance of proceeding with the trial on the set date.

The decision to grant the third trial postponement was made reluctantly, as the judge acknowledged the defendant’s need for adequate time to prepare his defense. However, the repeated delays have taken a toll on witnesses, causing distress and hindering closure for those involved.

The prosecution’s case against Arora includes chilling details of the events leading to the tragic loss of his children, which are yet to be tested in court. The case is expected to revolve around Arora’s mental state at the time of the incident, as he was found fit to stand trial after initial delays due to health issues.
