Toronto Fugitive Captured After Yearlong Evasion of Law Enforcement

After being on the run for over a year, a Toronto man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been captured by police.

The fugitive, 24-year-old Nicholas Singh, had been on the run since May 31, 2024, until his recent arrest on Friday evening.

Singh was found to be evading a five-year, five-month, and 10-day sentence for serious offenses including discharging a restricted/prohibited firearm with intent, armed robbery, and possessing a weapon against a prohibition order, as confirmed by provincial police.

In a statement, authorities expressed gratitude to the public and the media for their support in apprehending Singh through the Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad’s efforts.

While facing additional charges, specific details regarding the new allegations against Singh have not been disclosed by the provincial police.
