Montreal authorities are currently looking into a serious incident where a 27-year-old man was severely injured in an armed assault on Sunday night in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension district.
Authorities responded to a call at approximately 10 p.m. on Jarry Street West near Épée Ave., where they discovered the victim with upper-body injuries caused by a sharp object.
The injured man was promptly transported to the hospital with significant but non-life-threatening wounds.
Preliminary reports indicate that a conflict arose between the victim and multiple individuals who quickly fled the scene post-assault.
Law enforcement immediately cordoned off the area to facilitate a thorough investigation by forensic experts and detectives. The K-9 unit was utilized, and witness statements were gathered as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Investigators are closely examining surveillance footage that purportedly captured the assault incident.
At present, no arrests have been made.
