Tragic Shooting Leaves Young Girl Dead and Brother Injured in Quebec
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Quebec’s Chaudière-Appalaches region on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the death of a young girl and serious injuries to her older brother.
Quebec provincial police (SQ) responded to a distressing scene around 4 p.m. on Sunday at a home on Valléville Road in Saint-Vallier-de-Bellechasse, located about 60 kilometers east of Quebec City. They discovered the 11-year-old girl unconscious and rushed her to the hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her wounds.
The young girl’s 15-year-old brother was also found at the scene with severe injuries, though fortunately, his life is not considered to be in jeopardy.
Initially, authorities were informed of two individuals sustaining injuries, but further investigation revealed that the injuries were the result of a firearm incident.
