Get ready for road closures this weekend in Quebec! Transport Quebec has announced several closures, including the complete shutdown of the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge starting Friday night until Monday morning.
Highway 25 toward Montreal will be closed between Exit 90 and the entrance from Sherbrooke Street East from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1, affecting the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel as well.
Drivers, take note: the entrance from Sherbrooke Street East will be shut from Saturday night until Monday morning, with an alternative access point at Yves-Prévost Boulevard.
Heading to the South Shore, a nighttime closure of Highway 25 from Exit 4 to the entrance from Charron Island will be in place from Friday night to Saturday morning. Souligny Avenue eastbound will also be closed during this time.
Come Dec. 1, changes will be made to the entrance from Notre-Dame Street East and the lane availability on Highway 25 northbound from the Souligny interchange.
The Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge on Highway 40 will be off-limits from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1, with complete closures on both sides of the highway during this period.
Don’t forget, tolls will be waived on Highway 30 to help manage traffic flow while these closures are in place.
Remember to stay alert, follow speed limits, and check Quebec 511 for any updates due to potential weather-related delays.
