“Chaos at TMU Station: Suspect and Victim Wounded in Knife Attack”

Toronto authorities have reported a stabbing incident at TMU Station in the downtown area, resulting in two individuals being hospitalized, including a suspect.

The incident unfolded at the intersection of Yonge Street and Dundas Street East, prompting emergency services to respond to the subway station shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Upon arrival, police discovered two individuals, one of whom had sustained stab wounds.

A male suspect was apprehended at the scene by law enforcement officers and subsequently transferred to a hospital for undisclosed injuries.

Fortunately, paramedics have confirmed that the injuries sustained by the victims are not life-threatening.

As a result of the ongoing police investigation, train services at TMU Station have been redirected, with streetcars on the 505 route avoiding stops in the affected area.
