Toronto police have identified the young man who tragically lost his life after sustaining a gunshot wound in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Dylan Adams, an 18-year-old, was rushed to a hospital in 31 Division shortly before 5:30 a.m.
In a recent development, law enforcement announced that a suspect has been apprehended in connection to the incident and shed light on the events leading to the fatal shooting.
Frandy Noel, a 27-year-old resident of Toronto, has been taken into custody and is facing charges of second-degree murder in relation to Adams’ untimely passing.
According to authorities, Noel was confronted by a group of individuals who opened fire on him in the area of King Street West and Spadina Avenue around 4:45 a.m. During the altercation, Noel was hit by gunfire but purportedly retaliated by firing back, with one of his shots tragically striking Adams.
Noel sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized following the incident.
Tragically, Adams succumbed to his wounds, marking the 37th homicide in Toronto for the year 2025.
