Hamilton Police Hunt for Suspects in Transphobic Hate Crime Attack

Authorities in Hamilton Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Assault Suspects
Hamilton police are seeking the community’s help in identifying two suspects accused of assaulting a transgender individual last month.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 25 as the victim was leaving a bar on Hess Street South accompanied by their friends.

According to reports, a physical altercation ensued involving multiple individuals attacking the victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently hospitalized.

Police have reviewed footage which identifies two individuals as the main perpetrators of the assault. The Hamilton police’s hate crime unit is currently handling the investigation.

Those who may have information or video surveillance recordings from the timeframe of 1:30 a.m. to 2:40 a.m. on the night of the incident are urged to come forward and assist in the investigation.
