“Quebec in the Cold: Prepare for a Blanket of Snow as Wintry Weather Approaches!”

Many Quebecers may be in for a white Christmas or a nostalgic “winter like in the old days,” as per the latest forecasts from MétéoMédia. Winter sports enthusiasts and skiers are anticipating a snowy season in Quebec and Ontario.

MétéoMédia predicts higher-than-average precipitation, mainly in the form of snow, across the two provinces. Meteorologist André Monette highlighted the likelihood of a white Christmas, despite the occasional risk of a sudden thaw that could lead to snow loss.

For Ontario and Quebec, the winter season—ranging from December 1 to February 28—will see temperatures dropping below the norm. Monette emphasized the influence of two global phenomena, La Niña and the polar vortex, in shaping the upcoming winter conditions.

While Quebec and Ontario brace for a cold winter with ample snowfall, the Atlantic provinces can expect milder temperatures compared to the western regions. British Columbia is set to have near-normal temperatures, with the Canadian Rockies gearing up for a promising ski season.
