Police Nab Suspect in Oshawa Stabbing Spree, Launch Manhunt for Accomplice

Durham authorities have arrested one suspect and are searching for another in connection with a series of stabbings in Oshawa. The incidents, including a recent attack on a female victim, have been linked to previous assaults in the city.

The incident on Nov. 24 prompted a swift response from officers who found the victim with serious injuries and rushed her to a trauma center. Two suspects had fled the scene before the police arrived, but further investigation tied them to earlier stabbings that resulted in minor injuries.

On Nov. 26, police apprehended Sharlie Bloxam, a 30-year-old resident of Oshawa, who now faces multiple charges, including assault and possession of weapons. Meanwhile, the second suspect, 31-year-old Jose Lopez, remains at large. Authorities have issued a plea for information about his whereabouts and caution the public not to approach him but to contact 911 immediately if seen.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with relevant information is encouraged to reach out to the authorities.
