“Government Targets Hells Angels Strongholds in B.C., Seeks Seizure of Trio of Clubhouses in Landmark Lawsuit”

British Columbia Moves to Seize Hells Angels Clubhouses Amid Allegations of Criminal Activity

The Director of Civil Forfeiture in British Columbia has initiated legal action to seize three clubhouses associated with the notorious Hells Angels motorcycle club. The properties located in Surrey, Mission, and Pitt Meadows are at the center of allegations of unlawful activities, including drug trafficking and murder.

According to the lawsuit filed in the B.C. Supreme Court, the Surrey clubhouse, which has been allegedly used by the club since 2018, is owned by defendants Gurbinder Singh Johal and Kulwant Kaur Johal. The Mission clubhouse is linked to a numbered company, while the Pitt Meadows property is owned by Haney Farms Ltd., a company directed by alleged Hells Angels members Vincenzo Brienza and Emil Utovic.

The legal action underscores the serious allegations against the Hells Angels, with the lawsuit describing the motorcycle club as a criminal organization known for violence, drug trafficking, murder, and extortion on a global scale.

In response to the ongoing battle against organized crime, Public Safety Minister Nina Krieger emphasized the government’s commitment to dismantling criminal networks and seizing their assets to disrupt their illicit operations. This move comes on the heels of a successful forfeiture bid that saw Hells Angels clubhouses seized in Nanaimo, Vancouver, and Kelowna in 2023.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the defendants named in the lawsuit are yet to file a response, setting the stage for a potentially significant legal showdown.
