“Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Shocking Random Stabbing at Dufferin and Eglinton”

Toronto authorities are on the lookout for an individual sought for aggravated assault following an unexpected incident in the vicinity of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue last week.

Law enforcement responded to a call near Dufferin and Castlefield Avenue just prior to 4 p.m. regarding a stabbing.

According to investigators, the victim was ambushed by a male perpetrator while walking on the sidewalk. The assailant reportedly stabbed the victim before fleeing on foot.

The victim was promptly taken to a medical facility and fortunately sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.

It is noted that neither the suspect nor the victim had any prior acquaintance.

The suspect is described as being five feet nine inches tall, aged between 20 to 30 years, with a slender physique. During the incident, he was attired in a dark jacket, a grey sweater, black and white footwear, and carried a red hat.
