The Burnaby RCMP is seeking witnesses in an investigation following a tragic incident where a driver collided with and fatally injured a pedestrian on Monday evening. The collision took place on Kingsway close to Edmonds Street around 7 p.m., prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
While specific details are not being disclosed at this time, authorities have confirmed that the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries as a result of the crash. According to the RCMP, the driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
In a statement released on Wednesday morning, the RCMP emphasized the importance of public assistance in shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the collision. The specialized criminal collision investigators are urging anyone who was in the vicinity between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to come forward and share any relevant information they may have.
