Police Probe Repeat Arson Attempt at Dollard-des-Ormeaux Business

Montreal police are looking into a second attempted arson at a commercial property in Dollard-des-Ormeaux within a week. The incident unfolded when a 911 call alerted authorities around 2 a.m. about suspects allegedly preparing to ignite a fire at a business close to Brunswick Boulevard and des Sources Boulevard. By the time police arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene.

Fortunately, no evidence of a fire, damage to the building, or any incendiary materials were discovered by the SPVM officers. A witness indicated that several individuals were observed lingering near the business, suggesting a potential arson plot.

The case has been assigned to the SPVM’s arson squad, which is also examining a similar occurrence reported on November 30. Law enforcement is currently exploring surveillance footage from neighboring properties for additional leads.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incidents.
