Mike Smith, known for his role as Bubbles in “Trailer Park Boys,” is set to appear in court this morning in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia for a sexual assault case dating back to December 2017.
Charged on October 2, Smith, 53, is facing allegations of sexual assault involving a female complainant. The actor, originally from near New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, rose to fame through his portrayal of the iconic character Bubbles on the popular TV show.
Trailer Park Boys Incorporated, a company based in Nova Scotia where Smith serves as one of the directors, has acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations.
This is not the first time Smith has faced legal issues. In April 2016, he was charged with a misdemeanour domestic battery in Los Angeles after an incident at a Hollywood hotel. The charge was later dropped, with Smith maintaining his innocence and explaining the altercation as a heated disagreement with a female friend.
The Canadian Press initially reported on this story on December 3, 2025.
