Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a federal offender who is wanted on a nationwide warrant for violating his statutory release conditions.
Evan Haney, a 29-year-old man, is currently on the run, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Haney is serving a sentence of two years and three months for various offenses, such as break and enter, theft, assault, and fraud. He is unlawfully at large after breaching the terms of his release.
Described as an Indigenous male, Haney is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 195 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel-green eyes. He is recognizable by his thick-rimmed glasses with a green-blue strap.
Haney has several distinctive tattoos that could aid in his identification. Notably, he has Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors logos on his necks, “self-made” on his knuckles, “MOA” on his left hand, “Mom 1968–2008” on his right forearm, “DEXTER” on his left forearm, and “S 14” on his neck.
Authorities believe Haney frequents the Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and Milton areas, with connections to Newfoundland.
If you have any information on Haney’s location or see him, please contact the police immediately.
