The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is currently conducting an investigation into a recent solo motor vehicle incident that resulted in the driver being hospitalized in serious condition.
The incident took place around 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the intersection of 30th Avenue and 144th Street. According to Sgt. Tige Pollock, while the exact cause of the collision is still being looked into, preliminary findings suggest it may have been triggered by a medical emergency, with impairment ruled out as a contributing factor.
Following the crash, a section of 144th Street between 30th and 32nd avenues was temporarily shut down for the investigative process. It remains uncertain whether the street has since reopened. Inquiries for more details have been made to the SPS by 1130 NewsRadio.
