A section of 81st Avenue in Surrey’s Newton neighborhood has been shut down by authorities following a traffic accident. The Surrey Police Service (SPS) has cordoned off the area between King George Boulevard and 134th Street for investigation.
Images captured at the scene reveal the presence of police tape and a significant police presence in the vicinity. Among the items visible on the ground is a child’s backpack, while an ambulance is also on-site.
The duration of the road closure remains uncertain, and motorists are urged to steer clear of the affected area and seek alternative routes. The SPS has not provided an estimate for when normal traffic flow will resume.
