Surrey Man Arrested in Yearlong Child Exploitation Probe
Authorities in Surrey have apprehended a 41-year-old man following an extensive investigation into child exploitation activities.
Kevin Belcourt was taken into custody on Thursday and is now facing a range of charges, including possession and distribution of child exploitation material as well as voyeurism.
The investigation was initiated in January after local law enforcement received a tip about a suspect allegedly involved in possessing child sexual abuse material from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following the receipt of this information, police executed several search warrants and confiscated numerous electronic devices, which ultimately led to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
The accused individual is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing, with his next court appearance scheduled for December 11.
