Tragedy struck in Surrey on Friday when a young child was struck and killed by a large commercial vehicle. The incident occurred near 81st Avenue and 134th Street in the Newton Neighbourhood. The nine-year-old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is currently investigating the cause of the accident, with the driver of the vehicle cooperating with authorities.
