A senior woman was hospitalized with severe injuries following a vehicle collision in North York on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Cummer Avenue around 11:26 a.m., close to Finch Avenue East. Emergency responders quickly transported the injured woman to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
Fortunately, the driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, according to Toronto police.
Due to the ongoing investigation, southbound Bayview Avenue is currently closed at Ruth Avenue, and northbound Bayview is closed at Risebrough Avenue. Drivers are advised to anticipate delays in the vicinity.
