“Serial Tire Slasher Strikes: Police Urge Vehicle Owners to Inspect for Damage After Man’s Arrest!”

Toronto police have issued a warning to drivers in North York following a concerning incident where a man was allegedly caught damaging tires with a sharp object. The incident occurred in the Jane Street and Wilson Avenue area on December 4, 2025, around 8 p.m.

According to reports, officers witnessed a male individual puncturing a tire of a vehicle and subsequently found another nearby vehicle with a flat tire due to a similar puncture. The suspect was apprehended swiftly by the police.

In a related event, a driver from the same area unknowingly drove onto a highway with a flat tire, leading to a dangerous situation where the driver almost lost control of the vehicle, narrowly avoiding a crash.

While the police have not yet confirmed a direct link between the accused individual and the highway incident, they are urging residents in the vicinity to inspect their vehicles for any signs of damage. Authorities emphasized the risks of driving with a punctured tire, especially at higher speeds, as it can result in sudden loss of control.

Investigators suspect that there may be additional vehicles with similar damage and are requesting anyone with relevant information or who has encountered similar damage on their vehicles to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Abdifatah Adde, a 45-year-old resident of Toronto, has been charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000, failure to comply with a probation order, and failure to comply with a release order.
