A Toronto police officer, Constable Timothy Deacon, has been charged with theft following an incident that occurred at 52 Division in September 2025. Allegedly, Deacon did not log found property and instead kept it for himself, leading to charges of theft, obstructing a peace officer, and breach of trust. Despite being a 16-year veteran of the force, Deacon has been suspended with pay as per Ontario’s Community Safety and Policing Act. He is set to appear in court on January 20 for his charges.
