Peel Regional Police seek public assistance in locating a missing 70-year-old woman in Brampton.
Donna, a vulnerable individual, was last spotted in the vicinity of Chinguacousy Road and Bonnie Braes Drive on Monday afternoon. Standing at five feet six inches with a medium build and shoulder-length frizzy brown and grey hair, she was dressed in a furry brown vest, tan sweater, light brown pants, and a pink scarf adorned with hearts.
Concerns have arisen for Donna’s safety due to the harsh weather conditions prevailing in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Peel Police Const. Taylor Halfyard emphasized the urgency of the situation, stressing the need to reunite Donna with her family as soon as possible. Halfyard expressed apprehensions about Donna’s attire not being suitable for the current cold spell.
A command post has been established around Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road to coordinate search efforts. The police are leveraging video surveillance and pursuing leads to trace Donna’s whereabouts.
Given Donna’s challenges in communicating with the public, the authorities urge anyone who spots her to contact the police promptly. While Donna has previously gone missing, instances of her being quickly found contrast with the prolonged absence this time, prompting heightened concerns for her well-being.
