The Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the Montreal Canadiens with a strong 6-1 victory at the Bell Centre on Tuesday night. Scoring three goals in the first period set the tone for the Lightning’s impressive performance.
Brayden Point, Pontus Holmberg, and Nikita Kucherov led the charge for Tampa Bay, helping the team break a four-game losing streak. Additionally, Charle-Edouard D’Astous and Darren Raddysh made significant contributions to secure the win.
Swedish goaltender Jonas Johansson put on a stellar performance, making 26 saves to help the Lightning secure the victory, despite the absence of their star goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.
Montreal’s Oliver Kapanen managed to score a power-play goal, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Lightning’s strong offensive play. Cole Caufield’s point streak came to an end as Montreal suffered their second consecutive loss.
Unfortunately, the Lightning faced a setback as defenseman Victor Hedman left the game due to injury, adding a note of concern to an otherwise triumphant night.
