Toronto authorities have apprehended a woman from Mississauga after seizing a loaded firearm and approximately $75,000 worth of illegal substances in Peel Region during a search warrant operation.
In a targeted action on a residence in Peel on Monday, December 8, law enforcement officers discovered a loaded firearm, along with significant quantities of powder cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and crystal methamphetamine.
The individual in question, Brandi Dixon, 34, hailing from Mississauga, was taken into custody. She faces multiple charges, including possession of controlled substances with intent to traffic, firearm-related offenses, and failure to comply with a release order.
Dixon was set to make a court appearance on Tuesday, December 9.
Authorities suspect that Dixon may have been involved in similar criminal activities and are urging the public to provide any relevant information. A photo of the accused has been made public to aid in the investigation.
