Toronto Police Launch Manhunt for Suspect in Massage Therapy Scam Spree

Toronto police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a woman wanted in connection with two fraud cases involving impersonation as a registered massage therapist.

The investigation commenced on July 18 following reports of deceptive activities in the Church Street and Wellesley Street East vicinity, as well as near Yonge Street and Hayden Street.

Between January 1 and May 30, the suspect is believed to have conducted massage therapy sessions on clients, receiving payment via cash or insurance claims. Additionally, during this period, she allegedly worked for two companies while pretending to be a licensed massage therapist in Ontario.

The suspect, identified as Sikatema Lishomwa, 36, from Toronto, faces numerous charges, including identity theft, possession of forged documents, using counterfeit marks, fraud, and assault, among others.

Described as six feet tall with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes, Lishomwa is being sought by law enforcement.
