A clash between rival tow truck groups turned violent in Brampton as gunfire erupted in a parking lot, resulting in minor injuries to one person. Peel Regional Police have apprehended three Caledon men linked to the tow-truck-related shooting while continuing the search for an outstanding suspect.
The incident unfolded on October 7 around 10:45 p.m. near McVean Drive and Castlemore Road. Following a prolonged investigation, authorities executed a search warrant at a Caledon residence on November 20, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
Among those arrested, Manjot Bhatti, 26, faces multiple charges, including discharging a firearm recklessly and possession of a loaded prohibited weapon. Navjot Bhatti, 27, and Amanjot Bhatti, 22, were also charged in connection to the incident.
Police are still seeking to identify individuals from the opposing group involved in the altercation, particularly the suspect who discharged the firearm. Described as South Asian, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white running shoes, the suspect remains at large.
Authorities have released video footage of the suspect and are urging the public to assist in the identification process.
In a statement, Peel police emphasized their zero-tolerance approach towards gun violence and assured continued efforts to combat such criminal behavior.
