The city is aglow with festive lights as the holiday season is in full swing. Explore the bustling markets and lively festivals happening across town this weekend.

However, be aware of subway closures affecting Line 1 and Line 2, along with a GO service adjustment on the Lakeshore West line.

Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo with Santa Claus and other beloved characters at the historic Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Experience seasonal activities, live music, and enchanting light displays both indoors and outdoors at Queen’s Park during two evenings, two Saturdays, and two weekdays in December.

The highly anticipated Festive Lights event has already started and will welcome the public on specific dates in December. While attendance is free, registration is required for certain dates.

For the third consecutive year, Sankofa Square will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for the annual Winter Glow event.

The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday with a special performance by My Pop Choir, complemented by a Ferris wheel, carousel rides, artisan shopping, and opportunities for photos with Santa Claus.

A new addition this year is the Holiday Market by Epilepsy Toronto, featuring local artisan vendors, handcrafted gifts, wood firepits, and the Polar Point Bar serving mulled wine and spiked hot apple cider.

In Scarborough, head over to Variety Village for the Village Wonderland, a one-day festival offering live entertainment, train rides, cookie decorating, giant inflatables, and a holiday market.

The Sunday event starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20 each or $50 for a family of four, with all proceeds supporting Variety, a children’s charity benefiting kids and youth across Ontario.
