Tragic Pattern Emerges: Third Senior Citizen Found Dead Outdoors This Week, 78-Year-Old Latest Victim in Rosemère

Authorities in Rosemère are currently looking into the death of a 78-year-old man whose body was discovered outside a residential building close to the Place Rosemère shopping center on Bouthillier Street. The building, managed by the local municipal housing office, caters mainly to independent senior residents.

The Thérèse-de Blainville police service (RIPTB) responded to a call just before 9:30 a.m. and found the man unconscious near 66 Bouthillier St. He was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

A security perimeter was established to safeguard the area, as investigators are present at the scene to speak with witnesses and gather essential details to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

It is currently too early for authorities to confirm the cause of the man’s death, and there are no signs of foul play at this time. A spokesperson emphasized the importance of respecting the family and the ongoing investigation process by refraining from divulging further details for now.

This tragic event comes amid a series of outdoor deaths involving seniors in the greater Montreal area, with similar incidents reported in Laval and Longueuil recently. Rosemère, located approximately 35 km north of Montreal, is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
