“Caledon Family Terrorized: Caught in Alleged Extortion Web of Deceit and Danger!”

A Caledon family is facing terrifying threats and violence, including shootings targeting their business and home, leading to fears for their safety and that of their children.

Ranbir Mand recalls being jolted awake by the sound of gunshots one early morning, leaving his family understandably shaken and desperate for answers.

The ordeal started with demands for a $2 million ransom three months ago, escalating to the recent shooting incidents. Mand believes the culprits are associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, known for criminal activities and extortion schemes.

Lawrence Bishnoi, currently in an Indian prison, has a history of orchestrating criminal acts from behind bars using technology. Reports from India’s counterterrorism agency allege that Bishnoi has been running his criminal network from various jails and through associates, including in Canada.

The Bishnoi gang has been linked to violent crimes targeting individuals advocating for a separate Sikh state called Khalistan, with recent allegations suggesting their involvement in extorting Canadians.

Mand shared evidence of intimidation tactics, including WhatsApp messages from international numbers, aimed at instilling fear and coercion.

Authorities are actively investigating cases of extortion involving threats through phone calls or messages, with the perpetrators showing knowledge of victims’ personal details and routines. Mand firmly believes that the recent incidents are clear acts of extortion.

Despite beefing up security measures, Mand remains anxious about the safety of his family and the possibility of further attacks.

The Ontario Provincial Police urge anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigations.
