Major Shutdowns Hit TTC and GO Train Lines This Weekend: Plan Your Travel Accordingly!

Attention Toronto Commuters: Holiday Weekend Public Transit Updates

Planning to hit the holiday events in the city this weekend? Keep in mind some important public transit changes that could impact your journey.

On Line 1 (Yonge/University), there will be no subway service between Osgoode and College stations on Saturday and Sunday due to track maintenance. Shuttle buses will be available along the affected route to help passengers reach their destinations.

For Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth), similar track maintenance will lead to the closure of subway service between Ossington and St. George stations. Shuttle buses will be in operation to assist commuters during this time.

Additionally, travelers using the Lakeshore West GO Train line should note that there will be no service between Port Credit and Exhibition GO stations as crews work on replacing the aging Etobicoke Creek bridge. However, there will be alternative train routes and bus connections available for those needing to reach their destinations.

Regular transit services are expected to resume by Monday morning, ensuring a smooth transition back to your daily commute.
