Similarly, York Region police are collaborating with federal and provincial partners to stay vigilant against potential threats and hate crimes.
Peel Regional Police reassured the local communities, emphasizing that everyone deserves to feel safe and supported, despite concerns stemming from the Australia attack.
The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs is working closely with government and law enforcement officials at various levels to prioritize community safety. CIJA CEO Noah Shack highlighted the global rise of antisemitic extremism and urged urgent action to protect citizens from such threats.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and Ontario Premier Doug Ford expressed solidarity with the Jewish community, condemning hate and antisemitism. Prime Minister Mark Carney also joined international leaders in denouncing the attack, emphasizing unity and resilience in the face of terrorism.
