The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a local business in the early hours of Sunday morning. Authorities suspect that the incident may be linked to extortion.
According to police reports, the business, situated on 120th Street close to 80th Avenue, was targeted with gunshots around 2:30 a.m. Fortunately, although there were employees present at the time, no injuries were reported.
SPS officers swiftly responded to the scene and confirmed the exterior of the business suffered damage from the gunfire. The police are actively looking into any potential connections this incident may have with other recent events.
