Two pedestrians were struck by a van in Abbotsford on a Saturday afternoon, resulting in injuries, according to local authorities. The incident occurred at the intersection of McCallum and King roads just before 3 p.m.
The Abbotsford Police Department reported that the van, traveling south on McCallum, veered onto the sidewalk and collided with the pedestrians. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and transported both victims to the hospital, with one sustaining serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the van, a 33-year-old man, stayed at the location and is cooperating with the police investigation. Authorities have stated that impairment does not appear to have played a role in the accident.
