Looking for a hassle-free way to ring in the New Year in Montreal? The STM has got you covered! The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has just announced that on the night of December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026, metro services will be extended for your convenience.
During this special night, metro service will run for an extra two hours on the Green, Orange, and Yellow lines, giving partygoers and revelers a safe and reliable transportation option. Unfortunately, if you’re on the Blue line, you won’t benefit from the extended schedule this time.
“This exceptional measure is aimed at providing an efficient and safe transportation option for those looking to celebrate the new year, considering the various parties and gatherings happening across the city,” stated the STM.
