Vancouver Drivers Rejoice: Analysts Predict Even Lower Gas Prices Ahead!

Gas prices in the Lower Mainland continue their decline, offering some relief to drivers as we head into the end of the year. According to experts at GasBuddy.com, the average cost of gas in Vancouver has dropped by 1.4 cents per litre over the past week, settling at approximately 140.48 cents per litre on Sunday.

Compared to the previous month, prices have fallen by 13.3 cents per litre, with a significant drop of 26.2 cents per litre year over year. This downward trend is not unique to B.C., as the national average is also experiencing a decrease.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, notes that the national average price of gasoline in Canada has been steadily declining for three consecutive weeks. With refineries back in operation, increased fuel production, and easing oil prices, De Haan suggests that gas prices could continue to decrease as we approach the end of the year.

In Abbotsford, the average gas price has fallen to 127.25 cents per litre. For savvy drivers in Vancouver, some stations are offering prices as low as $1.36 per litre as of Monday morning.
