A carbon monoxide leak at a high-rise in Toronto’s West Don Lands neighborhood has resulted in one person being hospitalized. The incident occurred at a 15-storey building located at Bayview Avenue and Front Street East, prompting emergency response teams to take action around 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday. Toronto paramedics confirmed that they were summoned to the scene due to a carbon monoxide leak, with one individual being transported to the hospital for minor injuries. The heightened carbon monoxide levels were linked to a mechanical unit issue on the building’s roof, as per Toronto Fire officials. Consequently, the building has been evacuated for safety measures. The area of Bayview Avenue from Front to Lauren Harris Square has been closed off to traffic.
