A tragic hit-and-run incident in Vaughan has resulted in a five-year prison sentence and a 15-year driving ban for Harnoor Chauhan, a 25-year-old man from Vaughan. The incident, which took place in May 2024, led to the loss of a 16-year-old boy’s life.

Honourable Justice M. Fuerst handed down the sentence on Dec. 15 after Chauhan pleaded guilty to charges of dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop after an accident causing death, and public mischief.
