Get ready to celebrate the New Year in Montreal with extended hours on the Réseau express métropolitain (REM)! On New Year’s Eve, the REM will run all night long from December 31st into January 1st, connecting Brossard to Deux-Montagnes.
Pulsar, the operator of REM, is offering this special service to ensure that passengers have a safe and convenient way to get around as they welcome the new year. Regular fares will be in effect, so you can hop on board without any additional cost.
In addition, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has announced that metro services will also be extended on the night of December 31, 2025, into the early hours of January 1, 2026.
For those planning to use the REM, please note that the service will be temporarily suspended on December 27th and 28th for technical testing related to the Anse-à-l’Orme branch, set to open in spring 2026. Alternative transportation options will be available during this period.
