Montreal is bracing for a significant weather change in the upcoming days, with a mix of rain, snow, and strong winds expected to sweep through the region.

The weather outlook for Thursday shows a blend of sun and clouds, but the day will feel chilly with temperatures hovering around plus 5°C, making it feel like minus -10°C due to wind chill. Light winds of 15 km/h are predicted. However, conditions will deteriorate as the night progresses, with thickening cloud cover, rain moving in after midnight, and fog patches developing. Winds will pick up, gusting up to 50 km/h, and the temperature will hold steady around plus 5°C overnight.

Friday will see the rain persisting through the morning, transitioning to a mix of rain showers and flurries in the afternoon. Strong winds will escalate, gusting up to 90 km/h, as temperatures drop from a high of plus 8°C in the morning to minus -2°C in the afternoon. The night will be windy, with flurries and a low of minus -9°C, indicating the onset of a snowstorm.

Saturday will offer a temporary respite with sunny skies, though temperatures will struggle to reach a high of minus -4°C. Snow is expected to return in the evening, with a low of minus -4°C, ushering in more wintry conditions.

Sunday will bring a 70% chance of showers, coupled with persistent strong winds. Cloudy skies and a high of just plus 2°C are anticipated, with temperatures plunging overnight to minus -10°C, heralding even more unpredictable weather.

Monday will continue the wintry pattern with a high of minus -8°C amidst a mix of sun and clouds. Nighttime temperatures will plummet further to minus -15°C.
