Second Shooting Strikes Abbotsford Business in Alarming Crime Pattern

Gunfire strikes Abbotsford business again, police investigate

A business in Abbotsford faced gunfire once more overnight, marking the second shooting incident in just over a month.

Authorities are still withholding many details, but CityNews reports that police rushed to a truck and trailer repair shop on King Road near Clearbrook Road after receiving reports of gunshots.

The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) has confirmed that no injuries were recorded. Visuals from the location reveal damage to the establishment, with visible bullet holes and broken glass.

Previously, the same establishment was targeted in a shooting on Nov. 12, with no reported injuries at that time as well.

Following the November incident, AbbyPD shared a video of Police Chief Constable Colin Watson urging the public to refrain from making assumptions as investigations unfold.

In September, the Abbotsford police initiated a local task force aimed at addressing extortion cases while also supporting a provincial team dedicated to the same cause.
